We will take every precaution to keep our members safe. The following precautions will be in place and specific details will be sent to those attending.

Max singers with distancing: tbc

Singers will be at a minimum 2m distance from each other at all times, both in services and rehearsal. No socialising will be permitted on site. Extra cleaning will be conducted throughout the visit. Music folders will be prepared a week in advance to reduce contact. Cassocks and surplices will be provided on the day, prepared in advance and transported in plastic covers to reduce contact.

You should not attend if:

  • you or someone you live with is at high risk or shielding

  • you show any symptoms in the 14 days prior to the visit

  • you live in an area under tier 4 restrictions or above (eg local lockdown) at the time of the visit

We are monitoring the situation in Bradford and will not arrange a visit if we feel we cannot do it safely. A determination will be made nearer the time and those who have signed up for the visit will be informed.

Car: Follow signs for Bradford Cathedral off the A650 Shipley / Airedale Road.

The cathedral has a small car park on Jermyn Street (off Stott Hill) and some street parking. The nearest public car park is Burnett Street (116 spaces) off Peckover Street in Little Germany.

On Foot: Access via steps off Forster Square and Church Bank; level access off Stott Hill only.

The Cathedral recommend The Midland Hotel. B&B Rate is £59 per night for sole occupancy of a double room; £69 B&B Double Occupancy. The Hotel has a free on-site car park. Cancellation up to noon the day prior to arrival.

All music will be provided on the day. You will be expected to have learnt music made available in advance of the visit. No time in the rehearsal will be given to note-bashing this music. We will spend more time looking at music introduced on the day. We regret that copyright does not always allow us to make all music available beforehand.

Cassocks and surplices will be provided on the day (if you are new, please send your approx height and build to Elizabeth at

Please wear quiet black shoes and black socks/tights as these might show under your cassock.

We do limit the number of people we can take to fit the stalls and maintain balance between the parts. Places are assigned on a first come first served basis. You will be informed promptly if you have a space. Please do not arrange non-refundable travel or accommodation until after this time.
